Hostal ALMAR is a holiday accommodation in a safe and quiet location, at the south-east part of the Caribbean “Trinidad” City Museum, just fifteen minutes walking from the center. Our house is modern and comfortable and absolutely clean. We do welcome you with a welcome cocktail. In our house you are able to enjoy a room with private bathroom, air conditioning or fan, as you wish, a safe door and your own keys. There is also an independent entrance from the street. The accommodation includes a television set, hair dryer and you can use 110 volt or 220 volt electric current. As a special service we offer a washing service and the ironing of clothes at reasonable prices.

Our house is ideal for couples and friends as it has two personal beds. The cleaning of the room is daily without charges and we check every two days if anything is missing.
We have also a modern kitchen and like to prepare exquisite Creole food. If you care for this service you can be sure to be served at flexible prices, including that you can learn to cook the food with us if you like.
Our kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, blender; here we will also prepare our delicacies for you. The dining table is rather big and thus ideal for dinner with friends, but if you like you can also use our natural patio for your outdoor dinner. While lunch and dinner are an additional service at a fair price, our light breakfast will always be included in your reservation.
Furthermore there are some table games available and if you travel by car we will find a protected place at a reasonable price.

We are a couple of doctors, married for 23 years, with two teenage children. We like to hike and we enjoy Cuban music, that is why we like to guide you on your vacation if you wish. Communication will not be a problem since we speak Spanish, English and French.
The neighbourhood of our house is quiet; our neighbors are affable and almost all are professionals. Nearby are other rental houses so that interaction with other tourists is possible.
The bus station to the beach is only a walk of 10 minutes from our place but if you like to you can also go by bicycle which we rent too. The tour is easy and it’s only a distance of 12 km. Ancón beach is among the top ten beaches in Cuba due to its white sand and crystalline water. If you are not into riding the bike but into riding horses it’s fine for us too: We offer horseback riding as well and also diving and hiking with experienced guides and at affordable prices.

There is a lot to see in our region. You can visit the Valle de los Ingenios – UNESCO world heritage – where you can explore the Spanish colonial period on the island and the cultivation and processing of sugar cane.
The historic center of the city is impressive with almost one km of cobbled streets, where you can enjoy traditional cultural activities such as peasant music, trova, afrocuban shows and a great variety of handicrafts very typical of our town. The natural park of Topes de Collantes will definitely be an unforgettable experience with its trails, rivers, jumps and unique nature.
Nightlife is another attraction of Trinidad: Enjoy the shows and nightclubs with the wonderful Cuban music in places such as The House of Music, El Rincón de la Salsa, Artex House, Trova House, The Yesterday bar (dedicated to Anglo-Saxon music) and the Discoteca Ayala located inside a natural cave.
