Baracoa

First village founded by the Spanish conquistadores. Physical isolation for 4 centuries and lush nature give a unique touch, maintaining the original layout and own culinary and dance heritage, as well as unique wooden architecture in the country. Beautiful and appealing natural environment: Miel and Toa rivers (the largest river in Cuba), best preserved forests, flatted top hill (El Yunque), beaches nearby the town center, rich flora and fauna. The only Cruz de Parra brought by Columbus to the New World is preserved here.
